ACFL Division 3 vs St. Lomans Mullingar
We travelled to Lakepoint Park to take on St. Lomans on Thursday evening last. Played in ideal conditions on a fantastic surface, the home side made a strong start and led by 0:09 to 0:02 after twenty minutes. Barry O Mara was the sole Bun scorer with two points from frees. Bun finished the half strongly though, following a great goal by Ken Conroy. He got the ball on the turn and took his man on before slotting under the keeper's body to give Bun hope going into half time.
The second half saw Bun put in a tremendous effort. The game was fast paced and both teams added to a fine contest. John Kiernan got Bun off the mark in the second moiety. Simon Moorehead made a strong run up the field to add Bun’s second score of the half with a fine score from distance.
St. Loman’s then looked like they were through for a goal but Alan Maguire made a superb save to deny them. Their goal did arrive however soon after. This turned out to be the crucial score of the half. Noel Yourell responded with a good point from play before Garvan Dolan tapped over a free.
Simon Moorehead and Ken Conroy both kicked points either side of a St, Loman’s point. Conroy again showed great strength winning the ball in front before taking on his man to split the posts.
Bun finished this game strongly and should take great heart from their second half performance. With nine weeks to the Championship and the panel getting stronger and fitter, they are heading in the right direction.

U13 Inny Shamrocks
Well done to the Inny Shamrocks under 13s who recorded a close win over Multy last Monday evening in what was an entertaining game.
The same team also recorded a fine win over Delvin on Wednesday evening last in Bunbrosna. Many thanks to Delvin for a good sporting game.
The lads are now four wins from four and top the league with 3 fixtures remaining. It was great to see all 23 players get game time in this game.
U15 Inny Shamrocks
Well done to the U15s who had a very good and hard fought 2-9 to 2-7 win over a battling Tyrellspass side in Bun on Friday night. This was an excellent and keenly contested match with both teams giving wholehearted displays.
U17/U19 Inny Shamrocks
U17s / U19s continue to train as usual and had a very useful challenge against Ballymahon on Monday. Thanks to Ballymahon for the game and to Frank Lynam, U17 manager, for arranging same.
Cumann na mBunscoil
Well done to Daniel Horohoe, Oisín Clarke and their Westmeath Cumann na mBunscoil teammates on a great display of skill in the half time game at Parnell Park in the Westmeath / Dublin championship hurling match. This was a great honour and the lads performed brilliantly in front of a large crowd.
