Underage Training

Underage Training will be on Saturday 30th September at 1pm as usual - this will be the final session of the year!

We hope to see everyone on Saturday for a special session with some surprises to mark the end of a brilliant football year!!

U8 LGFA Blitz

Huge well done to our U8 girls who played three fantastic matches at their last Go Games blitz of the season in Clonmellon on Saturday morning.

Thank you to our excellent hosts, St.Paul's Delvin, for organising a hugely enjoyable morning of football.

Inny Shamrocks U13 County Finalists!!

Well done to our Inny Shamrocks U13s who came out on top of a fiercely contested championship semi final against Tyrrellspass on Saturday. With the game in the balance throughout, the lads raised their game to get over the line.

Well done to players, coaches and parents for all their efforts in getting this far. Full time score was 4:07 to 3:05. Well done to all. County final here we come!!

Inny Shamrocks U15s

Hard luck to our Inny Shamrocks U15s who narrowly lost by two points on Wednesday evening last in the Quarter Final of the Championship against St. Loman’s.

This was a highly entertaining match with some great football played by two evenly matched teams. Either team could have claimed the win in a match which was close all the way through.

However, in the final minutes St. Loman’s built up a two point lead which they managed to cling onto until the final whistle despite a valiant effort by our lads to close the gap.

Well done to both teams on a great effort and the very high standard of football.  Our U15s now have a Division 2 Shield Final to look forward to in a few weeks so still plenty to play for. Well done to the lad and their coaches on a great effort. Finally, we offer our congratulations to St. Loman’s on their win.

Westmeath Quid Games

Westmeath County Board is hoping to raise over €200,000 from a major fundraiser it is holding on the 29th October next that's loosely based on the format of the hit Netflix show, Squid Game.

Quid Game, will see one representative from each of Westmeath's 47 clubs plus 13 others, going head-to-head with the winner taking home €10,000 for their club. Eoin Cawley will be Bunbrosna GAA’s representative. Each club has to raise €1500 to take part in the competition and over the next number of Club Lottos we will be donating 50% of revenue to Eoins fundraising campaign. So please support Eoin through our Club Lotto over the coming weeks especially. Keep an eye out in the notes and on our social media pages over the coming weeks for more information.

Our newly formed Grounds Crew meet every Tuesday at 10:30am in Bun for a cup of tea and to do some work around the pitch - all welcome!

Bunzers Teddy Bear Picnic

Next Saturday we are hosting our first Bunzers Teddy Bear Picnic at 12:00pm. We will play some games on the Astro pitch as well as kick some ball, and there will be plenty of time to enjoy our playground as well as the Bouncy Castle that will be there on the day (along with the ice-cream van!)

There will be tea and coffee provided for parents! While aimed at younger boys and girls aged 2-5, all are welcome!

Congratulations

Congratulations from all at Bunbrosna GAA to Aimee Barrett and Andrew Manning on the birth of their son, Daniel in recent days. We are sure his big brother, James, will take great care of him. We wish the four of you a lifetime of health and happiness.
