ACFL Division 3

We hosted Kinnegad in Round 3 of the League on Saturday. The game was nip and tuck for most of the game before Kinnegad scored 1:04 in the final ten minutes of the game to run out winners on the day. Next up is a trip to Castletown to take on St. Malachy’s in two weeks time.

Team: Liam Mitchell, Conor Newman, Dave Newman, Ronan Scally, Jonny Nolan, Simon Moorehead, Eoin McGowan, John Kiernan, Aidan Finnan, Gordon Medforth, Finian Newman, Gavin Lyons, Cian Tighe, Brian Maguire & Luke Kiernan. Subs: Kenny Conroy, Shane McGovern, Tommy Murphy, Oisin Finn and Conor Scally.

ACFL Division 7

We hosted Delvin on Sunday in our first game in Division 7 this year. Played on an ideal day for football, Bun fielded a number of players playing their first competitive game for the Adult team. Conor Scally, Oisin Finn and Evan O Hara all acquitted themselves very well while Gordon Medforth, who also played the Division 3 game, is continuing his excellent development at adult grade. All four lads have an excellent future with the club and we look forward to their continued development throughout the year.

The match was an entertaining game with both teams registering quality scores but it was Delvin who took the points with an impressive second half performance to win by five points.

Team: Tommy Murphy, Dave Newman, Conor Newman, Conor Scally, Liam Mitchell, Eoin McGowan, Gordon Medforth, Brian Maguire, Oisin Finn, Finian Newman, Gavin Lyons, Cian Tighe & Evan O Hara. Subs: Chris Cole & John Casey.
