LGFA Go Games Blitz
Well done to our U8 and U10 girls who travelled to Springfield to play Go Games Blitz on Saturday morning.
We started with the U8s who played terrific football against teams from Mullingar Shamrocks, Kinnegead, Kilbeggan Shamrocks, Milltown, Balynacargy, and St Joseph’s. The girls played great football and showed good teamwork throughout.
A special note of appreciation and well done to our U10 Girls who braved torrential conditions during their Blitz on Saturday. In conditions so bad some teams left during the games, our girls stuck it out and played their hearts out in the driving rain. Well done all!
Summer Camp
Our annual Summer Camp will take place on the 26th and 27th June and promises to be another hit! The camp has been a great success over the years and caters for members and non-members alike. Leinster Athletics
Congratulations to Oisin Clarke who took home Silver medals at the Leinster Athletics Championships in the 1500m and 800m categories over the course of the weekend! This is a phenomenal achievement for Oisin and reflects the dedication and hard work he has being putting in.
Westmeath Camogie
The local area was well represented at the weekend with the Westmeath Senior Camogie team in action at home to Antrim. Unfortunately the visiting team secured a narrow victory. Well done to the Clann Gaels players on the panel as well as our own Barry O Mara who is part of the Management Team. Westmeath travel to Offaly next weekend and we wish them the best of luck.
