Division 3 League

We hosted Ballinagore in the opening round of the league on Sunday. This was a good run out for the lads and they can be happy with their efforts particularly in the first half. There were some passages of play and Darragh Lyons and Barry O Maraa kicked some excellent scores.

In the second half, Bun played against a strong wind and found conditions difficult. Ballinagore kicked some good scores and added a goal from a penalty in injury time to win the game on a scoreline of 1:17 to 0:14.

Footnote: Well done to Alan Manning who made his debut for Bun on Sunday and put in a fine performance in goals before a hand injury forced him off in the second half.

Team: Alan Manning, Enda Newman, Dave Newman, Ronan Scally, Matthew Hope, Simon Moorehead, Finian Newman, John Kiernan, Gordon Medforth, Gavin Lyons, Aidan Finnan, Mark Donnelly, Luke Kiernan, Darragh Lyons & Barry O Mara. Subs: Eoin McGowan for R. Scally, Kenny Conroy for G. Lyons, Cian Tighe for M. Donnelly, Alan Maguire for A. Manning, Andy Whitney for D. Newman, Kevin Mitchell, Liam Mitchell, Darragh McCormack, Dean Ennis.

Inny Shamrocks Medal Presentation

The successful Inny Shamrock 2025 league winning U14 and U16 teams received their medals on Sunday evening. Many thanks to Luke Loughlin for giving his time so generously. As well as presenting the medals, Luke spoke to the boys and their parents, delivering some words of advice and encouragement. He also kindly took part in a question and answer session and spoke about nutrition, training and other keys issues.

Many thanks to the coaches and committee for organising the evening and we wish the players well in the year to come!
