Division 3 League vs Multy
We hosted Multyfarnham in Division 3 of the league on Friday night last. On a perfect evening for football the large crowd were treated to a high scoring game but it would be the visitors who would run out comfortable winners in the end on a scoreline of 3:24 to 1:16.
Bun, with the aid of a strong wind in the first half, played some great football in the opening half and led 0:10 to 0:06 at the short whistle. Darragh Lyons kicked 3 monster two pointed efforts while Ken Conroy added a two pointer himself in the opening half. These were complimented by further points from Lyons (2), Barry O Mara and an Aidan Finnan 45’ after twenty five minutes of play.
The second half was largely dominated by the visitors who kicked some fine scores themselves when aided with the wind. Four 2 pointers from play as well as three goals saw Multy with a commanding victory despite the best efforts of the Bun team. Aidan Finnan kept the teams in touch with two two pointer frees while Ken Conroy rattled the net with a brilliant finish off his left.
With two games left in the league the players and management will be eager to put in competitive performances ahead of the Championship which is due to throw in in July.
Team: Cian Tighe, Conor Newman, Simon Moorehead, Eoin McGowan, Ronan Scally, Dave Newman, Finian Newman, John Kiernan, Gordon Medforth, Gavin Lyons, Aidan Finnan, Enda Newman, Ken Conroy, Daragh Lyons & Luke Kiernan. Subs: Barry O Mara for F. Newman, Andy Whitney for G. Medforth, Liam Mitchell for L. Kiernan, Brian McGowan for C.Newman, Tommy Murphy & Paul Connaughton.
Go Games Blitz
Our U8 and U10 Boys played Go Games Blitzes on Saturday 23rd May in Castletown Finea Coole Whitehall.
Both our U8s and U10s played excellent and entertaining games against CFCW and St Pauls. Their hard work at training is really paying off as they showcased their developing skills throughout both Blitzes. Very well done to all of the lads on their excellent displays of football!! A huge thank you to the coaches and mentors for all of their hard work. Finally, thanks to our opponents and to Castletown Finea Coole Whitehall for hosting!!
Best wishes to all our underage players who celebrated their Communions over the last number of weekends!
Thanks to the Westmeath County Board, management and senior football team for the Open Training Session on Sunday 24th May which many of our underage members - and some older ones! - took the opportunity to attend and really enjoyed.
Inny Shamrocks U14s
Well done to the Inny Shamrock U14s who completed their league games with a win over Multyfarnham on a perfect evening for football on Wednesday. The lads scored a notable 26 points in a 6 point win. The lads have now qualified for a league final after an impressive start to the year. Well done to players and coaches!
Inny Shamrocks U16s
Well done to our Inny Shamrock under 16s who finished their league campaign with a 4.9 to 4.6 victory over a strong St.Michael's side last Monday evening. Well done to the whole panel who played their part on a very difficult night for football with slippy underfoot conditions. Thanks to St. Michael's for a good sporting contest.
Inny Shamrocks Minors
Our minor team faced Garrycastle GAA on Wednesday evening in Moynihan Park in the final league game of the campaign. On a beautiful evening for a game it was a physical but skillful, high scoring affair. Unfortunately we came out on the wrong side by a couple of points. Over all the lads performed very well in a tough Division 3 throughout the year.

This tournament is a massive milestone for these players, offering them a fantastic opportunity to compete at a high level and make memories that will last a lifetime.
To help cover the costs of travel, gear, and preparation for the squad, an official GoFundMe campaign has been launched. As a community, we want to give these young players the absolute best backing possible.
We would be immensely grateful if the Bunbrosna family and wider community could support them. Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
