LGFA Blitz

Our U8 and U10 Girls played the latest round of LGFA Go Games Blitzes on Saturday in Shandonagh.

Both our U8s and U10s played fantastic and thrilling games involving teams from Castletown Finea Coole Whitehall, Shandonagh, and Delvin / St Pauls, and spectators enjoyed  some brilliant football!

Very well done to all of the girls on playing such fantastic football! A huge thank you to the coaches and mentors for all of their hard work.

Finally, thanks to each of our opponents and to Shandonagh for hosting!!

Inny Shamrocks U14

Well done to Inny Shamrocks under 14s who came out on top on Wednesday evening against a strong Millmore Gaels team in their championship encounter played in ideal conditions. The first half was end to end with a goal for Millmore leaving them one point up at the break.

The Inny boys started the second half brightly and three quick fire goals had them in front amd they held their lead until the final whistle. Final score: Inny Shamrocks  3.7 Millmore Gaels 2.9.

Inny Shamrocks Minor

Another beautiful sunny evening for football on Thursday last as our Minor lads made the trip to Multyfarnham Gaa.

With the sides level at half-time, it was all to play for and the lads battled hard throughout. Unfortunately, it wasn't our night, with Multy pulling away in the second half to take the win.

While the result didn't go our way, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance. Heads up, lads—keep working hard, stick together, and the results will come.

Reeling in the Years

As we continue our Reeling in the Years of Bunbrosna, we take a trip back to the early 1960s with this fantastic team photograph (see attached). It captures a proud era in the history of Bunbrosna GAA and the players who represented the club with great pride, commitment and community spirit.

These photographs are more than just team pictures; they tell the story of the people who helped shape our club and laid the foundations for future generations. We are delighted to share these memories and preserve the rich history of Bunbrosna GAA as we celebrate our club’s journey through the years.

If anyone has memories of this team, the matches they played ,we’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to leave a comment below or get in touch with us. Every story, no matter how small, helps keep the history of our club alive.

We would also really appreciate any old Bunbrosna GAA photographs, match programmes, newspaper cuttings or memorabilia that you may have tucked away.

Every photograph, story, and memory helps us preserve the rich history of our club for future generations.

If you have anything you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you. Email us at bunbrosna125@gmail.com, contact Sinéad on 087 7672529, or simply send us a DM here.
