ACFL Div.3 Round 8
Bun 1:13 St. Lomans’s 2:07.
Bun secured a vital 2 points in the league on Saturday evening when we overcame St. Lomans’s in a close enjoyable encounter. A nip and tuck first half saw us 1 point to the good at the short whistle. Bunbrosna 0-6 St.Lomans 1-2
A second goal for St. Loman’s early in the second half saw them regain the lead and despite us responding with some fine points of our own, St. Loman’s looked like they would secure the win when they went 2 points clear as full time neared. However, inspirational points from Aidan Finnan & Andy Whitney brought us level as full time approached. Then up stepped Caolán Fulham to secure the win after he calmly slotted the ball to the net after a fine long ball in from Andy Whitney.
One of the most pleasing aspects of this game aside from the win was the positive contributions of our young players Caolán Fulham, Gavin Lyons & Paddy Fitzgerald when they were introduced in the second half.
We play Killucan in the last game of the league in 3 weeks time.
