Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp ran on Thursday 30th June and Friday 1st July and we were delighted to welcome 76 children to Bunbrosna GAA pitch to take part in the activities, football and fun over both days.

We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and that some new friendships were made also!! As ever, this Camp would not have been possible without the huge number of coaches, camp assistants, traffic wardens, supervisors and stewards who helped and volunteered their time - there are too many to mention but a sincere thanks to all!!!

We are grateful also for the kind cooperation from Westmeath GAA County Board, and Darren Magee, Westmeath GAA Development Officer.

Training continues for all age groups as normal!

Rounders at Cul Camp

Thank you to Bernie Corroon from Westmeath GAA for giving us the opportunity to demonstrate recreational rounders at the Cul Camp Coaches training last week in Clonkill. We hope the hundred coaches enjoyed playing the game and will help advertise the game around the county.

Underage Rounders

It was great to see the enthusiasm for Rounders at our Summer Camp last week. We were delighted to hear how many boys and girls have been playing the game in school and there were plenty of skills on show.

Our Underage training continues on Saturdays at 6:00pm and next Saturday will be an open session for all to come and give the game a go.

Adult Rounders

Well done to our Adult Rounders Team who hosted Kilmeena from Mayo on Sunday. Despite a strong performance from all, we lost out to a tough opposition on a final score of 27-06. Well done to all involved in preparing the pitch for the game and for all who contributed food and baked goods for the supper afterwards.

Gaelic for Mothers & Others

Our Mothers and Others group continue to train on Mondays at 8pm at the pitch. New faces are always welcome. Summer Circuit Classes with Kate Brennan continue on Thursday at 8pm. Open to all. Contact 0877672529 to sign up.

Best of luck to Ciara and Maeve Molloy and the Westmeath Minor Ladies team when they take on Wicklow in the Leinster Minor C Final on Wednesday next at 7:30pm. Tickets are available online from the Westmeath Ladies GAA Facebook page.
