Celebration Night for Bunbrosna Set Dancers

There was a great night of music and celebration in Tormey’s on Saturday night when our double All Ireland Set Dancing Champions were celebrated for their fantastic achievements in both Scor and the recent Fleadh. Our Chairman, Peter Maguire, made a presentation to each of the Dancers on behalf of the club to commemorate their fantastic achievements.

Championship Fixture

We play either Garrycastle or Mullingar Shamrocks on Saturday next in the Quarter Final of the Junior Championship. These teams play off on Tuesday night where we will face the winners. Throw in at Ballymore is at 5:00pm on Saturday. All support is greatly appreciated. Junior Set Dancing Classes

Bunbrosna Scor are commencing Junior Set Dancing Classes this September! Suitable for both boys and girls (Ages 5-17). Classes will coincide with the school term. The first block will run for 8 weeks ( September to Halloween Break - 1 hour class x 1 night per week).

Places are limited so please register your interest as soon as you can. We will need an idea of numbers to plan classes based on age/ dancing experience etc so please fill out the registration form which can be accessed through the Bun Facebook page. These classes are open to everyone from complete beginners to trained dancers! Please spread the word! Everyone is welcome! For more info please contact Veronica Moran.

Underage Football

Well done to our underage stars who were out in force on Saturday morning in very wet conditions! Our U7s and U9s travelled to Delvin for a blitz with Delvin and Multy. There was great teamwork on display and great effort shown in very difficult conditions.

Our U11s travelled to Multyfarnham Gaa for games with our hosts and Delvin. We fielded two teams and played great football in wet conditions.

Thanks to our hosts at both locations and thanks to our coaches for looking after our teams. Finally, well done and thanks to all of the children and parents for a great and enjoyable morning!

Inny Shamrocks U17

Hard luck to our U17s on Monday evening who lost out narrowly to a strong Delvin/St. Paul’s team.  

The lads were back out in action on Sunday and put in an almighty effort and played some great football against a strong Tyrrellspass team. They just ran out of steam at the end but had huge positives to take into the Quarter Final on 12th September.  Well done lads on a team performance that was full of effort, spirit and character.

Inny Shamrocks U13

The U13s had a great challenge on Sunday morning against St. Michael’s. Next up is Milltownpass in the Semi Final on Tuesday 13th of September. The next training is Wednesday evening in Bun at 6.30pm.

Rounders

Underage continues Saturdays at 6:00 - 7:00pm for ages 7+. Adult training continues on Sunday at 11:00am. All are welcome.

Gaelic for Mothers & Others

Our Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others took a well earned break over the Summer but will be returning to the pitch on Mondays at 8pm for a 6 week block before they finish up for this year. We look forward to welcoming back our current players and any new faces that may be interested in giving it a go. For more info contact Sinead on 0877672529
