Congratulations
Well done to Aine Newman and her Delvin team mates on winning the Junior A Camogie Championship on Saturday last when they defeated Castlepollard. Aine put in a top class performance which resulted in her winning the Player of the Match also.
Inny Shamrocks U15s
On Saturday 15th October the brave Inny Shamrocks U15 team narrowly lost out to Lilliput Gaels in an action packed and dramatic final. Seeking to add a Championship to the league title annexed earlier this year, Inny Shamrocks fantastic efforts came up just short on a day when blustery conditions made their usual crisp and flowing style of football difficult. Well done and congratulations to Lilliput Gaels who played to their strengths and worked hard to emerge victorious.
This defeat was very disappointing for the hardworking and committed Inny Shamrocks team, but their efforts, talent and skill throughout the year have been a credit to them all, and their families, supporters and clubs are very proud. This is a very talented group with great team spirit and although the Championship did not end the way we hoped, 2022 was ultimately a very successful year which saw great progress made by each player and some fantastic football played across the League and Championship, made possible by a lot of hard work on the training pitch. Well done lads!
A massive thank you to the coaching team of Robert Ruisinger, John Mulligan and Ger Leslie for their huge effort and commitment. Thank you all.
Thank you to Coralstown/Kinnegad G.F.C for use of their excellent facilities. Thank you to Declan Mc Guinness and Eddie Rockets who sponsored an after-match meal for the team, and to all who contributed towards the training tops which were presented to the panel.
Best wishes for a speedy to Killian Mooney who took unwell during the U15 final. This caused a lot of concern during the game but a huge thank you to referee Kieran Daly, his officials, and officials from Lilliput Gaels and Kinnegad who helped Killian. We were extremely lucky that Kieran was the official on the day as his expertise as a paramedic was of great assistance. Thank you Kieran. Best wishes also to James Ruisinger who picked up a significant injury during the game also.
A huge thank you to all the supporters who turned out at the final and throughout the year to support the team. We look forward to seeing each of these players in 2023!!
