Cycleton Fundraiser

Next weekend, 9th & 10th December, we will hold our annual cycleton to help raise funds towards ongoing club developments, namely the completion of our Walking Track around the pitch. This will be our main fundraiser of the year and we would appreciate your support in both the cycleton and the fundraising.

We have posted a sign up sheet for people to volunteer to take part in the cycleton on our Facebook and Instagram pages so please check these out if you can spare an hour or two next weekend.

We are extremely grateful to O’Reillys Mace and Geerah’s Daybreak in Ballinalack for their continued support in allowing us to use their premises for what will be our third cycleton fundraiser.

Westmeath GAA Medal Presentation

Congratulations to Barry O’Mara, Shane McGovern, Andy Whitney, Aidan Finnan & Peter Tormey who received their medals on Friday evening as part of the Westmeath GAA Banquet in the Mullingar Park Hotel.

The lads have represented Bun with great distinction at Inter-County Level and are tremendous ambassadors of our Club. Well done to you all.

Club Developments

We are working away on improving our facilities over the winter months and we are extremely grateful to all people volunteering their time to help improve our grounds both inside and out. This is an exciting time for the club and we hope to continue on the great work over the last couple of years.

Last week, Martin Maguire of Maguire & Son Painting gave the gym a new coat of paint ahead of the refurbishment of the entire gym area. This includes the purchase of new gym equipment which will be a significant development for our club. We thank Martin sincerely for his work and time helping us complete this project.

Westmeath Sports Partnership

Many thanks to Martina and Susan from Westmeath Sports Partnership who organised the eight week training for the Couch to 5KM. We are extremely grateful for your dedication and hard work and know that this was greatly appreciated by all participants.

Condolences

All at Bunbrosna GAA wish to offer our sincere condolences to the McCormack family, Ballyedward, on the sad passing of Anthony & Eilish’s brother, Paddy who lived in Swords, Co. Dublin.

Paddy was a keen musician and was well known in the Trad Circles as well as in Clay Pigeon Shooting.

To his wife Vera and children, Bernie, Franny, Anne, Pat, his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbours and many friends, we offer our deepest sympathies to you all at this sad time.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.
