Club Lotto

Club Lotto will take place next Sunday at 12:00pm in the Old Dressing Rooms for anyone that would like to attend. Our Lotto Jackpot is now at a record €14,900 which would certainly be a welcome lift for the spring. It continues to be our primary source of revenue to fund the day to day running of the club.

Our Lotto can be done online by clicking on https://bunbrosnagaa.clubifyapp.com/products. Online entries must be in by 11:00am. Thank you to all who support our club lotto.

Paddy McCormack Memorial Game

We welcomed Westmeath and Tipperary Minor Footballers to Bun the Bank Holiday Monday to compete for the inaugural Paddy McCormack Shield and to officially open our Walking Track in honour of our great friend, the late Paddy McCormack. 

Thank you to everyone who braved the blustery showers to turn up for the event. Well done to both teams on a fine game with Westmeath winning out 4:11 to 1:12 in the end. ‘Paddy’s Way’ will help to sustain the legacy Paddy left on the club for future generations.

ACFL Division 3 Round 4

We are fixed to play Killucan on Friday night next in Joristown at 8:00pm. All support would be greatly appreciated.

Westmeath Senior Hurlers

Hard luck to Shane McGovern and the Westmeath Senior Hurlers who were beaten by Dublin in the Allianz Hurling League on Saturday. Shane lined out again at midfield and scored a fine point from play.

Walk and Talk Wednesdays

Bunbrosna GAA ‘Walk and Talk’ Wednesdays continue between 7:00 and 8:00pm every Wednesday for the next few weeks for a chance to meet others, get the steps in and have a chat. 

Couch to 5K

Couch to 5k programme continues on Monday at 7:30pm in association with Westmeath Partnership. Check out our Facebook page for more details. Well done to all who are taking part so far.

Inny Shamrocks Minors

Inny Shamrocks Minor training continues on Mondays 7:30 - 8:30pm on the Astro in Bun. New players welcome. For any queries contact Conor Newman on 087 9330992.

Membership

Membership for 2024 is now available. The rates of membership this year can be found on Foireann. There are various options available for members as well as for those who wish to avail of access to our newly refurbished Gym. All membership must be done through Foireann. 

In order to register, log on to your Foireann account from last year and follow the membership prompts. If you don’t have a Foireann account just log onto www.foireann.ie and register a new account and select Bunbrosna as your club. Once you have this done you will be able to select the membership option that suits you best.

All memberships include access to our newly opened Walking Track. For those who just wish to use the Walking Track, they can do so by purchasing Social Membership at a cost of just €30 for the year.

Clann Gaels Table Quiz

Clann Gaels are holding their Table Quiz in  Connaughtons, Rathowen next Friday night at 9:00pm in aid of Larcc’s Children’s Bereavement Services. Adult entries are €10 and Children entries are €5. All support would be greatly appreciated.

Inny Shamrocks Table Quiz

Thanks to all who attended the Inny Shamrocks Table Quiz on Friday night in Tormey’s. We were delighted with the turnout and hope everyone enjoyed their evening!! 

A special thank you to Pádraig Flynn as Quizmaster, and to Julie Maxwell and Clare Moran for their help on the night, and to all involved in organising. Our thanks also to Hughie Tormey for the kind use of his premises and to all who donated prizes to the raffle. 

Well done to the winning team of Aisling Noone, Liam Sloan, Brendan Noone, John Penrose, and Tom McHugh who generously donated their prize back to Inny Shamrocks - thank you and we very much appreciate your kindness!
