Go Games Blitz
A very busy Saturday morning at Bunbrosna GAA saw us host U8 and U10 boys blitzes involving teams from Castledaly GAA, CFCW GAA and Mullingar Shamrocks GAA (U8s). A brilliant morning of football was played on what was a fine sunny day.
A special word of thanks to our young whistlers who each took charge of their first games. To Cian G, Cian M, Daniel, Zack, Aidan and Oisin we say well done and we hope you enjoyed the experience! Many thanks also to William and Gordon Medforth who took charge of refereeing the U10 games.
A sincere word of thanks also to Dearbhla Gilchrist and Shirley Martin who looked after the tea and coffee station on Saturday morning which was very much appreciated by all. Once again our parking crew had everything working smoothly in the car parks.
Needless to say, thanks to all of the coaches who organised everything this morning and had plans circulated to the clubs in advance. Sometimes the hardest work happens behind the scenes days before a ball is kicked and David Newman had everything looked after for all the U8 teams.
Finally thanks to all of the teams that travelled to us on Saturday morning, we hope you enjoyed your morning.

Westmeath Senior Footballers
Best of luck to the Westmeath Senior Footballers when they travel to Newry to take on Derry in a winner takes all clash in Round 3 of the Sam Maguire Cup. A win would see Westmeath progress to a Preliminary Quarter Final in two weeks time. Best of luck to all.
Iggy Fulham Tournament
Congratulations to St. Mary's National School, Rathowen and Sonna National, who won their respective Iggy Fulham tournaments on Wednesday last. Well done to all the players and coaches involved.
Westmeath Minor Footballers
Hard luck to the Westmeath Minor footballers who suffered a heart breaking defeat in the Tier 3 All Ireland Final on Saturday. Leading for most of the game, they were pipped at the end. This newly introduced tournament gave the team a great opportunity to build on their progress and hopefully will pay dividends as they progress on their Intercounty journey. Well done to Chris Cole who was a selector with this team for the year.

Well done to the Westmeath Senior Camogie team who recorded an important win in Round 2 of the Championship on Saturday when they beat Wexford 1:16 to 2:08.
