Bunbrosna v St Malachy’s

On Sunday last,in excellent conditions Bunbrosna travelled to Tang to play St Malachy’s in Round 3 0f this year’s championship. Large crowds decended on the GAA grounds for the first match in the double header at the venue.

Bunbrosna settled in quickly to the task at hand and Andrew Whitney slotted over the opening score after four minutes Two minutes later Peter Tormey scored a point after a lovely pass from Kenny Conroy . Next came a lovely score which began with a long pass from Ronan Scally to Peter Tormey which Peter flicked to the oncoming Barry O Mara who made sure the white flag raised again .

At the end of the first quarter Kenny Conroy slotted over our fourth point after a play involving Aidan Finnan ,Peter Tormey and Niall Spain. Garvan Dolan slotted over point number 5

Fintan Finnan replaced Fintan Connaughton around the twentieth minute.

With five minutes to go in the first half Peter Tormey again slotted over from an excellent Conor Newman pass .In injury time Peter again scored a fine point and Garvan Dolan converted on the brink of the half time whistle leaving us one point ahead at the interval. Bunbrosna 0-8 St Malachy’s 0-7
