Bunbrosna 0-16 v Ballycomoyle 2-10

We were lucky to come away from Ballycomoyle on Saturday evening with a draw after leading well for most of the game. With minutes remaining Ballycomoyle breached our defences twice and scored two goals to equalise. They then went ahead with another point and it was a well taken point by Caolan Fulham that salvaged a draw for us at the end.

Bunbrosna started very well and had five unanswered points before Ballycomoyle got their first score of the match. Bun added a further three points before our opponents next score. Daragh Lyons got the last score of the first half leaving the score at half time Bunbrosna 0-9 Ballycomoyle 0-2.

Each team had scored four points by the water break in the second half with the Bunbrosna scores coming from Finian Newman, Barry O Mara, Daragh Lyons and Peter Tormey.

After the water break Caolán Fulham and Fintan Connaughton replaced Kenny Conroy and Barry O Mara. Ballycomoyle added a further three points and Aidan Finnan and Daragh Lyons replied for Bun with a point each.

It was at this stage when the home side scored two goals in quick succession and further added a point to take the lead for the first time in the game. Caolán Fulham slotted over Bunbrosna’s final point to leave the scores all square at the final whistle.
